Frequently Asked Questions
Is Cigarbid.com Legit? Do They REALLY sell cigars that cheap? |
Yes and Yes. Cigarbid.com is 100% legitimate, has been online since 1999, and sells all new top quality cigars. They are owned by Cigars International (CI), one of the largest cigar retailers in the US, and ship from the same humidity controlled warehouse. I know, I have been buying from Cigarbid (and CI) for more than 14 years now, and I have never had an issue they didnt fix immediately.
They carry most domestic cigar brands (sorry no cubans). They Have Oliva, Montecristo, Macanudo, Perdomo, My Father, Cohiba, Partagas, Rocky Patel, Drew Estate, E.P. Carrillo, Alec Bradley, La Aurora, Padilla, Arturo Fuente, Diesel, Graycliff, Joya de Nicaragua, Davidoff, Espinosa, La Aroma De Cuba, Diamond Crown, Aging Room, Don Pepin Garcia, La Gloria Cubana, Punch, La Palina, Hoyo De Monterey, Leaf by Oscar, AVO, CAO, Romeo y Julieta, Gurkha, Brick House, Gran Habano, Man O' War, Camacho, H. Upmann, San Cristobal, NUB, Torano, And Many Many Many More!
They dont carry everything, but I think their selection is amazing.

Are Cigarbid cigars inferior? |
No, Cigarbid cigars are not inferior in any way, they are not rejects, they are not lower quality, sub-standard, dried out, damaged, or mistakes. They are not seconds (unless stated). They are not cheap crap made specifically for Cigarbid, or re-banded garbage they couldn't sell.
Bottom Line - The cigars I buy from Cigarbid for pennies on the dollar are the exact same cigars from the exact same manufacturers that I buy at my local cigar store/lounge for MSRP+.
And, In addition to most of the major cigar brands, They sometimes have closeouts or inventory from closed companies that CI buys out. I have even seen Event-Only and Limited Edition cigars liquidated on Cigarbid. If you pay attention you can get some really great cigars for very little coin. |
Whats the best strategy for bidding on Cigarbid? |
There is a bit of debate around that question, but the consensus seems to be to decide how much you are willing to pay for a particular item (use this site to research pricing data), set your max bid accordingly and forget it. If you win it, great, if not there is next time, but at least you didn't get caught up in a bidding war and overpay.
The other tip is that you should get set up for weekly shipping, all your purchases for the week will ship together, which is more convenient, and it will save you a bunch on shipping charges. |
Why does it take 3 days for auctions to appear?
Why cant I see yesterdays auctions today? |
Well, first we have to wait until the auctions actually close (thats the next day), then all the auction data has to be collected, checked, parsed, processed, and then added to our database. It's a big job, but we love it. And this being the internet, we allow a day or so for unforeseen issues. This ensures that the data we present is as accurate and complete as possible. |
Do You have a relationship with Cigarbid/CI? |
No. We are not employed by, created by, funded by, a subsidiary of, owned by, operated by, associated or affiliated with Cigarbid/CI in any way. We are a completely independent site of hardcore cigar nerds that gathers the auction data daily so we can see the prices over time. |
How much does CigarAuctionPrices cost? |
